Aptos jumps 18% as Layer 1 rotation accelerates – Is $0.825 next for APT?
AMBCrypto -

Aptos saw a price increase of 18.6% as Layer-1 rotation accelerated, strengthening the recovery profile as the higher-beta altcoins attracted speculative demand.

APT’s impulse move emerged alongside the broader strength across the Layer-1 tokens, instead of an isolated, specific catalyst.

Notably, several assets within this category also recorded double-digit gains as market participants shifted toward higher-beta assets.

Therefore, APT’s price increase highlighted a broader change in market participation toward the Layer-1 sector.

At the time of press, the token traded around the $0.6616 area after buyers heightened their activity during the latest session. Therefore, the sector rotation helped APT recover from its previous consolidation range.

Top traders leaned firmly toward APT longs

The Binance top traders on the other side maintained a clear long-side bias as APT pushed towards its range ceiling. Accordingly, the long accounts accounted for 61.79%, against the shorts at 8.21%.

The Binance Top Trader Long/Short Ratio as a result reached 1.62, keeping positioning leaning toward the bulls.

Notably, the ratio had fluctuated substantially earlier, including a rapid spike around the September 11 period.

The latest reading however still suggested more top trader accounts betting on upside than downside.

Additionally, the positioning also complemented the Layer-1 rotation already supporting the token’s spot-market recovery.

Noteworthy, the long dominance also raised the importance of APT successfully holding its breakout attempt. This is because a price rejection could expose those bullish positions if traders reduce leverage after the rapid rally.

Can APT finally escape its range?

Looking at the daily timeframe chart, Aptos [APT] spent months oscillating between the $0.509 and $0.654 price range, struggling around the range ceiling repeatedly.

The recent attempts also introduced candle wicks above the $0.654 level, reflecting notable liquidity sweeps before price probably retraces lower.

The latest price advance however carried APT back above that boundary, with price reaching approximately $0.660 on the daily timeframe chart.

The most recent session, as of press time, also hit a $0.711 high, extending into liquidity resting above the established price range.

Unlike previous attempts, the bulls now need acceptance above the $0.654 level instead of another temporary wick beyond the resistance level.

Meanwhile, the RSI indicator had climbed to 60.94, remaining below overbought territory while strengthening above its 53.83 average. Additionally, the MACD indicator also supported the bulls after crossing above its signal line.

Strongly holding that level would reinforce the technical breakout structure and could shift attention toward the $0.825 price resistance.

Liquidity sweep leaves Aptos facing two paths

More importantly, the technical chart highlighted that APT had already grabbed liquidity above its long-standing $0.654 range ceiling.

Notably, the push toward $0.711 reached the same upper region where previous liquidity sweeps had emerged on the Binance Liquidation Heatmap.

The heatmap strengthened that interpretation, since APT price had already moved through considerable overhead liquidity during its sharp expansion.

However, additional liquidation clusters remained higher, particularly around the $0.69 to $0.72 area.

A persistent hold above $0.654 establishing support would keep those remaining upper clusters relevant and likely support another liquidity-driven extension.

Beyond that zone, the $0.825 level would introduce the next key technical resistance from the daily structure.

Another failure however above the $0.654 zone would change the immediate risk picture greatly. Also, lower liquidation liquidity remained notable around the $0.63 to $0.60 area, giving price potential downside pulls.

Ultimately, a deeper price reversal could eventually expose the broader $0.509 range floor, especially if the bullish leverage unwind after the rally.

Final Summary
  • APT’s 18.6% rally pushed price beyond $0.654 while top traders favored longs.
  • A sustained holding above $0.654 could target remaining upper liquidity; rejection exposes $0.63–$0.60.
